Wexford Arts Centre and The Presentation Arts Centre Enniscorthy invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which the role of Project Coordinator for Creative Places Enniscorthy will be filled.
Wexford Arts Centre - in association with Wexford County Council Arts Office - and a steering committee has been awarded a Creative Places Award from the Arts Council for a three-year developmental arts programme in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford between the years of 2023-2026.
This will benefit the people of Enniscorthy town by exploring what a sustainable Enniscorthy might look like through socially engaged arts projects, inclusive of all communities in Enniscorthy. It will enhance public engagement in the arts through partnerships with community and arts organisations, businesses, and diverse communities. The programme will engage with a range of stakeholders to discuss and explore possible creative activities that can enhance community wellbeing and inclusion, encourage community collaboration and shared environmental sustainable goals for Enniscorthy.
The project will build on and amplify Enniscorthy’s existing cultural and artistic strengths and overcome any barriers of limited infrastructure support and encourage participation by existing centres and organisations to sustain a future arts programme and artists in the community. The programme will develop and deliver a diverse and creative programme that has local meaning and relevance with a focus on capacity building, collaboration, and sustainability.
